The story
Our daughter Amara was born last March with a congenital heart defect (VSD). Her doctors at Cebu Doctors' University Hospital say she needs corrective surgery before her first birthday, while she is still strong enough for the operation.
We are a family of four from Talisay City. My husband drives a jeepney and I take care of Amara and her kuya full-time. We have sold what we can and borrowed from relatives, but the surgery, PICU stay, and medicines will cost far more than we can raise on our own.
